I didn't plan on becoming a business owner...

In fact, my journey actually began in a chemistry lab, working on projects for companies like Boeing. Although this work honed my analytical skills and attention to detail, it didn't fulfill me. After serving in AmeriCorps, I found my passion for community and sustainable food culture, which led me to start a nonprofit. I created community garden spaces and educational programs, and I loved every moment of that work.

During this time, I realized that it wasn’t just about growing food or building garden spaces; it was about fostering real connections within the community. I discovered that storytelling was at the heart of it all; whether I was talking to a child about where their food comes from or rallying volunteers to contribute to a local project. Sharing these narratives, creating authentic bonds, and watching people engage with the mission was deeply rewarding.

For the next 10 years of my career, I worked with both small and large companies, leading their digital marketing and business teams. But after my son was born, and facing the uncertainty of layoffs, I knew it was time to embrace my entrepreneurial spirit. I realized I could turn my passion into something not only fulfilling but sustainable for my family.

I understand the struggle of figuring out how to turn your passion and creative gifts into a business that generates real income. It’s not always easy to bridge the gap between having a vision and making it a reality that pays the bills. You pour yourself into your craft, but finding the right strategy to monetize your skills and creativity can be overwhelming. I’ve been there; questioning how to take that leap, unsure where to start, and dealing with the fears of uncertainty.

I’ve built product-based brands from the ground up, gaining national recognition through grit, persistence, and strategic growth. I bootstrapped each one, investing my own savings, support from family and friends, and pouring my heart into every decision, from product development to marketing. Along the way, I navigated the challenges that come with limited resources, balancing the demands of entrepreneurship, and finding creative solutions to selling out online and landing on the shelves of national retailers.

This journey taught me the importance of authenticity, and creating a brand that truly connects with people. Now, I'm here to share the lessons I’ve learned, so you can overcome those hurdles and grow your business with confidence.
